With the calendar turned to November, the race to see who makes the College Football Playoff is officially on, with just three weeks left in the regular season, and a month until Championship Saturday, followed by Selection Sunday. The ACC finds itself in a weird place, as they have five teams in the latest rankings, but its highest-ranked team is seventh in the ACC standings, and would need all sorts of chaos to even find themselves playing for the conference championship in Charlotte next month. With the league turned upside down, some college football pundits have even suggested there’s a chance that the ACC gets left out altogether, which what would be unprecedented in the 12-team Playoff era.
