Vashti Hurt: Panthers Are NFC South Contenders

With two months left in the regular season, it’s time to start separating the pretenders from the contenders, which will give us the clearest picture of where the Panthers currently are in their rebuild. Carolina enters November, 1.5 games behind the Bucs for first place in the division, with 5 division games still to go for Carolina. They’ll play New Orleans and Tampa Bay twice, with one more contest against the Falcons. With as many division games as the Panthers have left, they have plenty of opportunity to emerge as a legit contender to win the division, in addition to being in the hunt for a wild card spot.
Earlier this morning, Vashti Hurt of Carolina Blitz joined the Mac & Bone Show, as she explains why she wasn’t surprised that the team didn’t make a move at the trade deadline, she addresses the concerns around Bryce’s stat production despite the team winning, and she tells you why she thinks they are still in contention to win the NFC South.
You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show) every weekday morning from 6-10 on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ and the WFNZ app.
