NFL: OCT 19 Panthers at Jets

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young left MetLife Stadium on Sunday wearing a walking boot on his right foot after the team’s 13-6 win over the New York Jets.

Head coach Dave Canales said Young is being evaluated for a right ankle injury and will undergo further testing once the team returns home. “We’re taking all the information and we’re going to look at him when we get home some more, and see where we’re at,” Canales said.

Young was injured after taking his only sack of the game in the third quarter. He attempted to test the ankle on the sideline but was unable to continue.

Running back Rico Dowdle, who spoke with Young in the locker room, said the quarterback “felt OK,” adding, “Hopefully it’s minor.”

Despite the injury, Young appeared in good spirits after the game, celebrating the Panthers’ second straight win.
