Ryan McGee On The Chaos Of The Upcoming Coaching Carousel

Sunday marked the end of an era in Happy Valley as James Franklin was fired as HC for Penn State, a job he had held since 2014. Senior Writer for ESPN Ryan McGee joined Kyle Bailey to discuss the firing, and the growing list of HC’s who have already been shown the boot this early into the season.
When it came to the firing, Ryan gets why the decision was made after losing to both UCLA and Northwestern in consecutive weeks along with not being able to win the “Big One”, but Ryan hopes Penn State realizes how he helped that program grow. Despite the abrupt end to his tenure, Ryan noted that James Franklin loves to build and he will find a job relatively quickly, and Ryan mentioned that he thinks places like NC State and UNC make sense as potential landing spots.
Ryan would go on to discuss some of the woes for the Gamecocks this year, and why he believes Denny Hamlin is now the best NASCAR driver never to win a championship.
