Steve Smith Sr Reacts To Another Rough Week 1 For Carolina

For the 4th straight season, the Carolina Panthers started this season with a loss, this one coming at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars by a score of 26-10. Panthers legendary WR turned NFL Network Analyst Steve Smith Sr. joined Kyle Bailey to assess what went wrong for Carolina on Sunday.

Steve started by discussing some of the communication concerns with Coach Canales in trying to get the offense set up throughout yesterday. Steve noted that Shane Waldron worked with Dave Canales in Seattle, along with a couple of other coaches who were familiar with what Dave Canales was trying to do. Steve believed that some of the looks were throwing off Canales and the Panthers offense, which was only made worse by an hour-long weather delay.

The discussion with Steve turned into a potential concern over Xavier Legette’s performance and what needs to change before taking on Arizona next week.
