The Panthers suffered another season-opening blowout loss yesterday, this time to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 26-10, in a game that was effectively over at halftime, giving the team a 4th straight 0-1 start to the season. Poor defense, combined with subpar play from QB Bryce Young, hindered Carolina from being competitive in a game where, on paper, they shouldn’t have been blown out in. After the entire Mac & Bone Show, “panthered up” on Friday, picking Carolina to win the game, the guys were here to talk through another disappointing start to a season that once had hope and optimism.

Mac & Bone started Monday’s show, talking about the Panthers loss to the Jaguars to open the 2025 season, as they vent about continued defensive struggles, a poor game from Bryce Young, and Dave Canales not having the team ready to play.

In the second hour, Mac & Bone played the blame game, after yesterday’s loss at the Jaguars, Jim Szoke stops by to help the guy talkĀ  through the loss, and they dissect Bryce’s bad day, and what it means for him moving forward.

WBT Hall of Famer, and longtime member of the Panthers Radio Network, Jim Szoke joins the show, as Jim talks through the Jags loss, including a bad day for Bryce Young, what he made of the continued struggles stopping the run, and how much blame Dave Canales deserves for not having his team ready to play.

In the third hour, Mac & Bone open the phone lines to let Panthers fans vent about another blowout loss to start the season, & they talk about the chances that the defense isn’t improved.

Lastly, in the final hour, Mac & Bone get back into the Panthers’ loss, and discuss if it’s time to question the rebuild that Dan Morgan & Dave Canales are conducting.

You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show), every weekday morning from 6-10 AM, on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ, and the WFNZ app.
