Panthers 53-man roster moves

The Carolina Panthers reshuffled their roster Wednesday, one day after finalizing the team’s initial 53-man list.
The Panthers traded wide receiver Adam Thielen, claimed two players off waivers, waived defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy and added 13 players to the practice squad.
One of the biggest surprises came Tuesday when the team opted to keep four tight ends and released veteran wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, who had been a standout in training camp.
The moves bring the Panthers closer to finalizing their roster for the regular season. Carolina opens against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 7.
