Shane Beamer on Dealing With Expectations This Season

The South Carolina Gamecocks are closing in on a huge season for Shane Beamer & Co. as they look to continue the success that the team had last year and take the next step and make the College Football Playoff. The team will have to do so while facing the challenge of replacing some major playmakers on both sides of the ball and taking on one of the nation’s toughest schedules in the process. The good news is, the team returns starting quarterback LaNorris Sellers and edge rusher Dylan Stewart, guys who are expected to challenge for All-American honors this season, and will have one of the better defensive back rooms in the country that can help them navigate that difficult slate that lies ahead.

On Thursday, Beamer joined the Wes & Walker Show to discuss his quarterback’s special talent, the next step for Stewart, how important development is for his staff and how his team is handling the expectations that are being placed on them this offseason.
