Carolina Panthers v Chicago Bears

Ever since David Tepper became the owner of the Panthers, the organization has been looking to rebuild in his image. The issue has been that the team has struggled to get that part right, going through a handful of head coaches and GMs, while one losing season stacked on top of another. When the team was 1-7 last season, it looked like maybe Tepper had made another poor hire, in head coach Dave Canales, and Dan Morgan, who took over for Scott Fitterer as the GM. But a 4-5 finish to the season, highlighted by improved play from Bryce Young, instilled belief that Carolina had finally gotten it right off the field, with the hopes of leading to success on the field starting this season. As the annual Fan Fest event took place over the weekend, one thing was evident in the stands, hope is back in air, and there is optimism that the team could be competitive from start to finish this year.

Earlier this morning on the Mac & Bone Show, former Carolina Panther, Brentson Buckner joined the show, as Buckner talked about the way that former teammate Dan Morgan is building this roster up, he explains why he thinks the defense is poised to be much better in 2025, and more.

You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show), every weekday morning from 6-10 AM on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ and the WFNZ app.
