Major League Soccer is bringing its 2026 All-Star Game to Charlotte to be hosted at Bank of America Stadium, marking the league’s first time hosting the event in a non-soccer-specific venue since 2018.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber will formally announce the news alongside Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles, team owners David and Nicole Tepper, and Tepper Sports CEO Kristi Coleman. The announcement comes just days ahead of this year’s All-Star Game in Austin.

While an exact date hasn’t been released, the 2026 MLS All-Star Game is expected to take place in late July or August.

Charlotte’s weeklong festivities will feature more than just the match itself. The city will also host an All-Star Skills Challenge, a youth MLS Next All-Star Game, a Special Olympics Unified Sports match, and a free Soccer Celebration fan event. Additional entertainment events, such as a concert, could be announced closer to the date.
