Charlotte FC

The 2023 MLS season was a big one for Charlotte FC, as the club made their first appearance in the MLS postseason, on top of making a deep run in the Leagues Cup. There were a lot of ups and downs for The Crown in 2023, but it was a step forward for a second-year franchise, as they continue to make their mark on the sports scene in the Queen City. 

It took only two years for Charlotte FC to compete in the MLS, to qualify for their first postseason, after a thrilling win over Inter Miami last Saturday, combined with some help from other clubs. Charlotte earned the #9 seed in the Eastern Conference, and will now travel to take on New York Red Bulls tomorrow night, in the first-ever postseason match in club history. The Crown overcame a long win-less streak during the midst of the regular season, but after a deep run in the Leagues Cup, they found a winning formula, that would eventually carry over into MLS play. 

In just their second year of existence, Charlotte FC has made the playoffs. Charlotte FC unveiled its new headquarters Tuesday in the form of Atrium Health Performance Park, a 52,000 square foot facility that puts all sporting and business operations of the club under one roof.
