For the first time in years, there truly is a buzz surrounding the Charlotte Hornets, but fans can’t express their support in person due to COVID-19. Team President Fred Whitfield and Mecklenburg County Health Director Gibbie Harris met with Brett Jensen to discuss the possibility of fans returning to Spectrum Center.

The NBA acknowledged in their daily Last Two Minute Report that a last-second play was in fact a foul and an "Incorrect Non-Call" was made by the refs. The Hornets lost their third in a row adding to their streaky season. This week 2 struggling teams come to Charlotte as the Hornets look to start a win streak.

Meyer will start his Jacksonville tenure with the number one overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and a ton of cap space. Mac says he thinks this can work even though Meyer has never been an NFL Head Coach. Mac and T-Bone think this team can turn around fast.

While nobody knows if this move with work out, it seems that Matt Rhule got the guy he wanted since Fitterer has such a scouting background. It was reported yesterday that Rhule wanted someone with a scouting background, while David Tepper wanted a more analytical guy.  

According to recent reports, Panthers head coach Matt Rhule and team owner David Tepper haven't been on the same page when it comes to what type of GM is best for the Panthers. Tepper would like a more analytical and stat driven GM, while Rhule would like someone with more of a scouting background.  

After last night’s loss to the Mavericks (104-93) stopped the Hornets 4 game winning streak, Mac and T-Bone discussed what the Hornets season expectations should be. Mac and Bone explain this wasn’t a bad loss because the Mavericks (6-4) have been playing well and they have a top 5 NBA player in Luka Doncic. 

Anthony Treash from Pro Football Focus joined the Mac Attack earlier this morning to discuss why he has Mac Jones going to the Panthers at with the eighth pick in his recent Mock Draft. Treash cites how Jones broke many CFB records this past season as why he thinks he is worthy of that number 8 overall selection.

2021 College Football Playoff National Championship Game was the least-watched college football title game since 2004. Overall, College Football had a pretty bad year for ratings. 13 Bowl games had viewership this year at an average decline of over 20%. Today on the Mac Attack, Mac and T-Bone discussed the reasons.

Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier joined the Mac Attack on WFNZ and of course Mac asked him about his rookie teammate LaMelo Ball. Rozier had very kind words: "It's been suprising, very suprising. You put the work in and your get rewarded."
