Carolina Panthers

In the first game following the firing of Frank Reich, the Panthers fell on the road to the Buccaneers 21-18 and now Carolina is officially eliminated from playoff contention. Steve Smith Sr. joined Kyle Bailey to break down what he saw in the Panthers defeat. One of Steve’s main talking points from yesterday’s game surrounded […]

Following the firing of Frank Reich the day before, Panthers owner David Tepper spoke with the media on Wednesday to discuss the move. In a fourteen minute presser, Tepper answered just eight questions before walking off, leaving a room full of reporter baffled and heated. The fifth year owner spent the majority of the presser […]

The Panthers fired head coach Frank Reich on Monday after the team dropped to 1-10 the day after in a loss on the road to the Tennessee Titans and had owner David Tepper yelling an obscenity on the way out of the locker room. That seems to have been the sign that the move was […]

Dave Tepper's press conference hasn't only been the talk here locally in Charlotte, but also the talk of the NFL, as virtually every analyst has something to say after the Panthers owner fired Frank Reich on Monday, and delivered a half-hearted press conference yesterday. Scott Fowler made headlines yesterday, after he publicly voiced his displeasure with Tepper ignoring him during the press conference, after Fowler wrote an article, stating that Tepper needs to fire himself as the owner. Another reporter, who hasn't been shy from asking Tepper the tough questions, or writing opinionated articles about Tepper, Joe Person, was on hand and started the press conference by asking if Tepper needs to re-evaluate himself, after making another hiring mistake. As Tepper was walking off the stage, Person tried to ask him about the job security of Panthers GM Scott Fitterer, to which he received no answer.

Scott Fowler has covered the Charlotte sports scene, for nearly thirty years, at the Charlotte Observer, so he knows what it's like to report on a coach getting fired, and an organization having to go through the rebuild. Especially since David Tepper became the owner of the Panthers, and brought Charlotte FC to town, as Tepper, has now fired 5 coaches between the two franchises, after firing Frank Reich on Monday. With such dysfunction, Fowler wrote a column on Monday, stating the obvious, saying nothing would change until Reich fired himself.

Almost 10 months ago, Frank Reich was introduced as Head Coach of the Carolina Panthers. Fast-forward to late November and Frank Reich is fired after a 1-10 start in Carolina. To break down the firing of Frank Reich and what happens next with Kyle Bailey is Joe Person of The Athletic. When it comes to […]

After the Panthers 17-10 loss to the Titans in Nashville, David Tepper decided to fire HC Frank Reich 11 games into his first season. Steve Smith joined Kyle Bailey to give his thoughts on the firing, and where we go next. Steve started by saying that no matter what Frank Reich is still a good […]

Almost two hours after Frank Reich got fired, the Wes & Walker Show went on the air on WFNZ earlier today, but their question was the same as many that are either involved with the team or are fans of the team. What's next? This was supposed to be the first sense of direction for the Panthers under David Tepper, after hiring the highly thought of Reich, supplemented by the best, all-name staff maybe in the history of the NFL, combined with the decision to trade up and draft Bryce Young. It appears as if every decision has backfired on Tepper, who fired Reich, after a 1-10 start, making Frank, the first head coach in NFL history to be fired in back-to-back seasons. Not only has Reich been fired, but so have Josh McCown, and Duce Staley, two guys apart of that all-star coaching staff that was supposed to help turn Carolina back into a winning franchise. And then there is Bryce Young, who is going to endure a play-caller change for the third time in a month, who has lost every bit of confidence that helped lead him to be the #1 pick in the draft last spring, all while CJ Stroud is setting records virtually every week for the Texans.

The Carolina Panthers have fired Frank Reich from the Head Coach position, the organization announced Monday morning.

The Panthers struggles continued on Sunday as they fell to the Cowboys 33-10 and now are 1-9 with Thanksgiving around the corner. Steve Smith Sr. joined Kyle Bailey as he weighed in on the Panthers struggles lingering, and what is behind them. Steve started the conversation by noting how he and Fox Color Analyst and […]
