Believe it or not, the final week of the 2023 regular season is here in college football, and we're getting closer to finding out which teams will compete in the College Football Playoff. The final week is always headlined by the renewal of the great rivalries, that are the lifeline of the support, and this year, those games have national ramifications. Ohio State and Michigan renew "The Game", with the winner clinching a spot in the Big 10 title game, and a step closer to a berth in the Playoff. Auburn and Alabama will renew the Iron Bowl, as the Crimson Tide have rounded into form in the season's last month. Bo Nix and the Oregon Ducks will travel to Corvallis to take on Oregon Ducks, as Bo Nix continues his push to win the Heisman Trophy. Locally, the ACC title game is set between the Florida State Seminoles, and the Louisville Cardinals, in what will likely be a top-10 matchup, with the Noles looking to lock up a Playoff spot. Over the weekend, Florida State lost their starting QB Jordan Travis, after he suffered a season-ending leg injury.

Believe it or not, we are in the final month of the college football regular season, as the calendar has turned to November. Back when the season began, 49ers fans were dreaming of making a second-ever bowl game, after an off-season, headlined by the hire of Biff Poggi, followed by the new head coach, making bold claims about how competitive his program would be. Instead, Charlotte finds itself at 2-6, needing to win their remaining four games, to qualify for a bowl game. Those remaining four games, come against Tulsa, Memphis, Rice, and South Florida, with Tulsa being the only team on the schedule with a losing record, making it hard to envision them qualifying for a bowl game.
