The NBA season is off and running, and the Hornets have already completed their first home stand, along with their first road trip. Charlotte finds themselves at 2-4, going 1-2 at home, and on the road. The first road trip had the opportunity to be 0-3, after dropping the first game in Houston. But after eeking out a win at Indiana, a 2-1 trip was on the table, before a disappointing second half against the Mavs, gave the Hornets an eventual 1-2 trip.

Despite leading by as many as 15, the Charlotte Hornets couldn’t prevent a comeback effort from the Dallas Mavericks, who outlasted the visitors 124-118 in Texas Sunday.

LaMelo Ball made a game-sealing steal on the last play of the game, as the Hornets snap a three-game losing skid with a 125-124 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

Shooting woes on offense and three-point defense continued to plague the Hornets, as they dropped their third straight contest, losing 128-119 to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.

Believe it or not, the first week of the NBA season is in the books, and the Hornets find themselves, 1-2, as they prepare to hit the road for the first time in 2023-24. Charlotte opened the season with an impressive showing, taking down the Hawks, before losing back-to-back games, to the Pistons and the Nets respectively. While Brandon Miller has impressed off the bench, LaMelo Ball has struggled to shoot the ball efficiently from the field, and veterans Gordon Hayward, and Terry Rozier are still rounding into form.

A 56-percent shooting night for the Brooklyn Nets proved to be too much for the Charlotte Hornets, as the Nets defeated the Hornets, 133-121, Monday night in Uptown.

For the second straight game to open the season, the Charlotte Hornets struggled out of the gate against an opponent. While Wednesday the team got away with it, they were unable to do so Friday night, falling 111-99 to the Detroit Pistons.

The Hornets season got off to a good start on Wednesday night as they defeated the division-rival Hawks 116-110 and Hornets HC Steve Clifford joined Kyle Bailey to recap the game. Steve started by sharing his pleasure with where the group is at this early in the season from leadership and buy-in and Steve noted […]
