At this time last week, Charlotte Hornet fans wanted to get to the All-Star break as quickly as possible in what was one of the ugliest seasons in franchise history. As we sit here today, though, fans are the wishing they didn’t have to take a break thanks to the additions the team made at […]

The Charlotte Hornets have had one of the quieter starts to the free agency period of any team in the entire NBA. The team has failed to make a new addition to the roster thus far, opting to focus on handling the situations with LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges instead. The signing of the rookie […]

For the past few days, Hornets fans have been attempting to come to terms with the fact that the team bypassed the upside of Scoot Henderson for the piece that fits the roster best in Brandon Miller. While many have expressed frustration with it, the focus inside the Hornets building has shifted toward free agency, […]

The Hornets are set for another selection later in the first round at No. 27 and the No. 34, No. 39 and No. 41 in the second round. Earlier this morning, Mac & Bone discussed some of the names that they have seen and would like to see the Hornets go after with those selections.

Friday was a huge day of news around the Charlotte Hornets. Earlier this morning, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news that Michael Jordan was selling his majority stake in the franchise after thirteen years as the only African-American majority owner in sports. Almost simultaneously, fellow NBA insider Marc Stein said on his podcast, #thisleague UNCUT, that the Pelicans are considering moving Zion Williamson to the Charlotte Hornets.

This offseason is one full of questions for the Charlotte Hornets. What do you do with the No. 2 pick? What do you do with Miles Bridges? What do you do with PJ Washington? Now there is another question that needs to be on the table according to the Mac & Bone Show's Travis Hancock.

The Charlotte Hornets are just 23 days away from selecting what could be another franchise player to pair with former No. 3 overall pick LaMelo Ball. At least we think so. On Wednesday morning, Field of 68 college basketball analyst Terrence Oglesby stopped by with the Mac & Bone Show for a little bit of NBA Draft talk. While the guys were excited about his idea of taking Scoot Henderson with the second overall pick, they were a little shocked by what he said he would do with LaMelo Ball in that circumstance.

After last season, where the Charlotte Hornets made the NBA Play-In Tournament, expectations for this season were to make the NBA playoffs, but as a top six in the Eastern Conference. As of today, they are currently spotted in the fifth seed in the East and have scored impressive wins over the Brooklyn Nets, the Golden State Warriors, and the Washington Wizards twice.  To talk about the Hornet's fast start, Brian Geisinger joined Wilson & Norfleet earlier today and when asked about their first 20 games, Geisinger replied: "They've exceeded my expectations a little bit." Geisinger would go on talk about the play of Miles Bridges, and why he believes the Hornets as currently constructed, are built to be contenders moving forward. Of the 20 games played so far, Charlotte has only played 8 in Spectrum Center, posting a 6-2 mark. The Hornets are on the road once again tomorrow night in Orlando, before coming home Friday to host the T-Wolves. After Friday's home game against Minnesota, Charlotte will be back on the road, for four games to end the month of November, and the start of December. This all sets up for the Hornets to be at home after the calendar turns to 2022, as they will look to make a push and solidify themselves as a top-six team in the East.

Charlotte Hornets third-year coach James Borrego clinched his 100th career win and the players celebrate by showering him with water bottles in the locker room after a win over the Portland Trail Blazers Sunday.
